Reflexology is a therapeutic method I practice that involves applying gentle pressure to specific points on the feet to enhance well-being. While there are different theories on how reflexology works, the fundamental idea is that certain areas of the feet correspond to specific body parts. By applying pressure to these areas, it’s believed to have an impact on related parts of the body.
Engaging in reflexology sessions has shown potential benefits such as reduced anxiety, a heightened sense of calm, and increased energy levels. Clients may choose to incorporate reflexology intermittently, treating it as a periodic “tune-up” for general well-being, or opt for more frequent sessions, perhaps weekly, to address specific conditions.
For me, reflexology represents a non-intrusive and relaxing approach to supporting overall health. It taps into the interconnectedness of various body parts through the reflex points on the feet, offering a holistic way to feel better.
